It was quite a pleasure to meet the team of Aamir Khan Productions' 'Peepli [Live]' at New Delhi's Le Méridien last week. It was the unveling ceremony of the upcoming satire on the urban-rural divide and also how new channels try to get a bite by sensationalizing even the most trivial matter/incident.
Aamir went on to expalin the reason for producing the Anusha Rizvi directed film and said, " I do not remember any good satire since 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron' and that is why when Anusha came up with the idea of 'Peepli [Live]', I gave her the green signal."
