PHOTO: Demi Lovato Wears A VERY Low-Cut Dress To Latin Grammys, Doesn't Go Nuts With The Side pics

I'm not sure if you saw, but last night at the 12th Annual Latin Grammys, where Calle 13 won nine awards (!!), Demi Lovato wore a VERY low-cut dress before she put on a completely non-scandalous dress and performed "Solamente Tu" with Pablo Alboran.
It's funny, because the long-sleeved, full-length dress is actually kinda matronly. Somber. Funereal, almost. Except for the fact that approximately one-third of the front part is missing. It's cut down to her, as my Yiddish-speaking grandmother would've said, "pupik." But chill out, everybody. Oddly, the dress is actually too long for her, so maybe the train's extra fabric is symbolic of the fabric where the chest part should be!

Also, for everyone crowing about how Demi's pulling a J. Lo -- recall, if you will, as if you could forget, the daring green Versace dress Jennifer Lopez wore to the 2000 Grammys, the year no one won a Grammy (they put them all away in a storage closet for next year) because that dress stole the show. See, J. Lo's green Grammys dress showed MASSIVE SIDE BOOB. Tons of it. Way more abs. Full bellybutton exposure. Essentially, she was topless. Demi showed just a minute amount of side boob, but by J. Lo standards, Demi -- who's now a redhead by the way -- practically looks like she's dressed for church. OK, so that's a stretch. But come on. It's bold, but it's not that bad.

What I'm saying is that it all balances out in the end. And besides. Listen. These aren't the olden days Cole Porter referenced back when a glimpse of stocking was looked up as something shocking! Anything goes at the Latin Grammys! Anything goes with fashion! Anything goes with award show dresses and plunging necklaces and too-long hemlines! Anything goes as long as you have double-sided tape!
